Magnolia ‘Genie’
- If you gave us a magic lamp to rub, we’d wish for this magnolia! ‘Genie’ is a glorious upright variety, boasting flowers of deep purple-red in spring (as well as an occasional second flush in summer).
- Its compact, upright habit makes this tree ideal for small to medium-sized gardens, while the stable flower colour ensures maximum impact.
- Originating all the way across the world in New Zealand, the blooms of ‘Genie’ radiate a lovely, light fragrance with a bouquet of rose, lemon and vanilla.
- Easy to grow and care for, this stunning plant makes for an exceptional feature tree at the heart of a lawn or planted alongside an underplanting of hostas and ferns.
- A recipient of both the Royal Boskoop Horticultural Society’s gold award and the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society’s gold medal, this magnolia is highly-regarded and, look at it, why wouldn’t it be?!
