Golden Bamboo | Phyllostachys aurea
- It’s no wonder Golden Bamboo is the UK’s favourite – the upright canes (or culms) start off a vibrant olive green and mature to their unique golden yellow – covered in cool green leaves and with ornamental nodes at the base
- The upright habit and fast growth of this bamboo make it a great choice for creating a screen or natural noise barrier
- A hardy and versatile evergreen plant which grows up to 5m high but responds well to pruning and works well as a hedge or clipped into formal shapes
- Winner of the RHS Award of Garden Merit
- One of the easiest and most reliable bamboos you can grow – plant in a sunny, sheltered spot for the best results. The lower leaves can be removed to show off the culms to their best advantage
- Never buy garden canes again – as new culms are formed every year, you can harvest the old ones to use as plant supports
