Espalier Pear Tree
- Bare walls are boring, but they don’t have to be… How about you take that dreary fence and convert it into a canvas for delicious fruit production? Well, with an espalier pear tree, that’s exactly what you can do! These trees look brilliant, produce an impressive crop and provide an incredibly effective use of garden space
- ‘Williams’ Bon Chrétien’ is one of our absolute favourites here at Roots, thanks to its great performance in British gardens, its reliable early harvest and, of course, the excellent taste of its fruit
- ‘Concorde’ yields pears late into the season that keep exceptionally well (for up to a couple of months) – this variety is also a recipient of the RHS’ Award of Garden Merit!
- ‘Conference’ is *the* classic dessert pear variety, universally loved for its exceptional taste (both when eaten fresh and used in cooking)
- Espalier pears need proper training and pruning to get the most from them. Fortunately for you, our growers have taken care of the initial shaping for you, just to get you on your way.
